Regular readers of this blog will be familiar with the energy and detail which Sebastian used to keep us up-to-date with any news of his father's work, particularly during the centenary year, 2011. His sudden death has been a great shock to his friends and family but the promotion of his father's work will continue under the guidance of his brother and sister, Fabian and Clare. I worked with Sebastian on the blog and will continue to add details of events and new publications as well as any other news when it becomes available. Alison Eldred

I'm an illustrator based in Japan, and a very great fan of your father's work. I often recommend Mervyn Peake's illustrations to my Japanese artist friends, but I've never seen a Japanese translation on his books anywhere. Do you know if there any?

Can you possibly give credit to the translator?
I dare say any translation of Peake's work must be a remarkable effort !
