An exhibition of Mervyn Peake and Maeve Gilmore's work will open on 9th July, the day which would have been Mervyn Peake's 100th birthday. Regular readers of this blog will be familiar with the energy and detail which Sebastian used to keep us up-to-date with any news of his father's work, particularly during the centenary year, 2011. His sudden death has been a great shock to his friends and family but the promotion of his father's work will continue under the guidance of his brother and sister, Fabian and Clare. I worked with Sebastian on the blog and will continue to add details of events and new publications as well as any other news when it becomes available. Alison Eldred

I have just discovered the art of Maeve and I wish I had seen it last year, but i had no idea of the work ever existing.... I just wanted to tell you that I think the work is amazing ...
