Fabian Peake, Mervyn's younger son, has produced his own website which clearly shows in its wide-ranging display of fine art, that his father's influence in paint, pencil, cloth and word, has certainly been passed on.
Haven't read those titus groan books for at least twenty years, but once you've read them they always seem to remain somewhere in your mind; like an incredible dream you once had or a glimpse into another world. The truly exeptional and unforgettable works of a unique genius.
Regular readers of this blog will be familiar with the energy and detail which Sebastian used to keep us up-to-date with any news of his father's work, particularly during the centenary year, 2011.
His sudden death has been a great shock to his friends and family but the promotion of his father's work will continue under the guidance of his brother and sister, Fabian and Clare.
I worked with Sebastian on the blog and will continue to add details of events and new publications as well as any other news when it becomes available.
