An outline programme of the Peake Conference to take place at Chichester University during the weekend of the 15th July 2011, is now available. To be called Mervyn Peake & The Fantasy Tradition: A Centenary Conference, it has been organised by the English & Creative Department of the University of Chichester, and will feature several well-known writers and others.

Colin Smythe, the publisher of the 1973 edition of The Rhyme of the Flying Bomb, has a small quantity of the books left in stock and would be interested to hear from anyone who would like to buy a copy . He is asking for £10.00 per copy (including postage to UK addresses). The cost to overseas buyers would depend on their mailing address.

Regular readers of this blog will be familiar with the energy and detail which Sebastian used to keep us up-to-date with any news of his father's work, particularly during the centenary year, 2011. His sudden death has been a great shock to his friends and family but the promotion of his father's work will continue under the guidance of his brother and sister, Fabian and Clare. I worked with Sebastian on the blog and will continue to add details of events and new publications as well as any other news when it becomes available. Alison Eldred
