- Name: Sebastian Peake
Regular readers of this blog will be familiar with the energy and detail which Sebastian used to keep us up-to-date with any news of his father's work, particularly during the centenary year, 2011. His sudden death has been a great shock to his friends and family but the promotion of his father's work will continue under the guidance of his brother and sister, Fabian and Clare. I worked with Sebastian on the blog and will continue to add details of events and new publications as well as any other news when it becomes available. Alison Eldred

My admiration for Mervyn Peake is such that a chance meeting with a Peake relative in a Finsbury Park pub ranks as one of the more significant events of 2001 in my personal calculus.
His myriad achievements across the arts within such a relatively short period are humbling testament to a fearsome talent. Happy Birthday, Mervyn Peake.
